Hoffman Brown Company

 

 HISTORY

Hoffman Brown Company is a progressive, professional full service insurance agency originally established by Bud Brown in 1961. Thanks to a wonderfully dedicated staff, Hoffman Brown has flourished, grown and continues its service commitment to its clients and the community.

It is important to note that we are more than just a growing, well established insurance agency. We are people. People who are dedicated to provide small companies, large corporations and individuals with the best possible insurance programs. We are people who care and who offer the highest quality in insurance expertise and service. We like what we do and it shows.

Our commitment to the community is very important at HBC. Each year our company gives back to the community that supports us. Annual blood drives, Christmas toy drives and clothes collections are just a few continuing examples. Also, we have picked up hammers and paint brushes to help build a home for the organization Habitat for Humanity. We have not only collected food for the poor, but we have gone to the LA Food Bank distribution center and sorted the donations. Our often sore (but happy) bodies are constantly pleased to give to the community. HBC cares.

Over the years, it has been our goal to gather together a group of individuals who maintain high standards and who are committed to providing professional service in all areas of insurance. We must be responsive to our clients' needs and maintain superior service in a very competitive marketplace. Our goal is not to be known as the largest agency, just the best!

We know we must constantly work diligently to earn the right to represent our fine clientele. We've only just begun!

Having a large number of markets allows our valued customers the ability to expect choice without the problems of having to collect and provide and lot of information to another company that doesn’t understand your business. Your time is valuable and we respect that. We market your account to many companies and provide you a comparison of which company best fits your needs. Pricing is always an important factor, but when choosing a company other considerations such as broader policies, claims handling, multi-state abilities, financial strength, responsiveness, etcetera need to be considered before a final decision is made. With our large variety of markets we are able to present you many choices and then discuss with you the pros and cons of each market.

LOSS CONTROL

Loss Control is a department that is a luxury to most insurance agencies. But at Hoffman Brown, it’s an integral part of our operation. In 1978, we added loss control to give our clients a valuable service and to provide an unbiased view of their total loss prevention program. We like to do more for our clients than just sell insurance and process claims. Loss control is just one example of that philosophy.

When a new account comes aboard and has loss control needs, we review the operations and make recommendations. We will tour the premises and get to know the business thoroughly. After analyzing the client’s current situation, we make specific recommendations that translates into a safer, more productive working environment and, hopefully, cost savings.

But more that just bottom line dollars and programs, we build relationships. Long term relationships with our clients and insurance companies.

CLAIMS DEPARTMENT

Personal involvement is what our claims department is all about. In a claim situation, our clients need our help through a traumatic time. Whether your claim is commercial or personal, a fire, robbery or automobile accident, a sense of loss is felt. We realize how important it is that we respond promptly in a caring manner, providing assistance that our clients expect and deserve.

Our claims department is an active part of the Hoffman Brown team. We work closely with our clients, our account executives, and the insurance carriers responsible for issuing your claim dollars. We enjoy this interaction and gain personal satisfaction in seeing a claim go smoothly.

Most of our staff have been with our Company for many years. It’s like family here. Hopefully, our clients will never need our claims service—but if they do, we’ll be here—they’re like family, too.
